Why

Giving children a safe place to sleep goes far deeper than a bed. It protects them from disease, helps them do better in school, and gives them a place to hope, pray, and dream. A bed is a catalyst for change and is often the only thing these children can call their own.

What

Bedhead is the core monthly giving group of Sweet Sleep designed to help orphaned and abandoned children sleep in safety and comfort on an ongoing basis, dramatically changing their lives.

Sweet Sleep

Sweet Sleep has provided over 20,000 beds to children in Moldova, Haiti, Uganda, South Africa, and The United States. Over the years, we have seen how Sweet Sleep’s mission – to provide beds to the world’s orphaned and abandoned children, demonstrating God’s love for them and improving their quality of life – has been a catalyst to change in the lives of children globally. Now, governmental and social changes are causing Sweet Sleep to rethink how we care for the orphan. Sweet Sleep has responded with the launch of Story International, our family preservation initiative. Through intentional partnerships and ministry delivery, Christian couples are being encouraged, trained, and prepared to parent the orphans in their communities through adoption, foster care, and family style homes. Parents are being equipped to care for their own children through counseling, vocational training, and start up capital – ultimately preventing abandonment. Together, these efforts work to demonstrate God’s love and hope in Christ to the world’s orphaned and abandoned children.
